Landlord's Checklist

Guarantors Agreement

Ensure it is signed prior to any tenancy signing or its null and void.

Tenancy Agreement Signed

Ensure all pages are initialed so its proven tenants have read each condition of the agreement.


3.

Deposit Insured

Ensure this is done 14 days once deposit is paid.


4.

Register as a Landlord

Remember to register every five years.


5.

HMO Registration

Remember to register every five years.


6.

Gas Certificates

Certificates must be paid annually.


7.

Insurance

Insurance must be paid on an annual basis.


8.

Electric Testing

Electric testing is usually a requirement from insurers so make sure a full test is carried out regularly.


9.

Inventory

Ensure your inventory is compliant with the new legislation.


10.

EPC

Required before marketing the property for rent.
